It's game day again! And, this football season, we have started a new tradition. Each Saturday, I try to make a special game day snack. Today, it's homemade soft pretzels. Yumm!! I found the recipe a couple of years ago in a preschool book by M. Jean Soyke. They are soooo easy to make and really good! Here's the recipe:
Homemade Pretzels:
In a large bowl, mix together 1 pkg. yeast, 1 1/2 c. warm water, 1 T. sugar, and 1 T. salt. Stir in 4 cups of flour. Knead until smooth. Shape dough into pretzel shapes,....etc. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with salt. Bake at 425 degrees F. for 15 minutes or until browned.

- cheese dip (with sausage, tomatoes, and peppers) and tortilla chips,
- and boiled peanuts.
